Byline

Terms of use

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of Byline, operated by Nia Johnson. By connecting Byline to an assistant, you agree to them. Questions: nia@howtofindaparty.xyz.

What Byline is

Byline keeps track of the publications you follow and gives your assistant source-linked stories to arrange into editions. Byline points you to original work; it does not republish it. Teasers and summaries in your editions are written by your assistant, not by Byline or the publishers.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don't use Byline to overload or attack it or other sites, to get around publishers' access controls or paywalls, or to collect other people's data. Byline limits request volume and may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Publishers' content

Articles, newsletters, and images belong to their publishers. Byline stores only metadata and short excerpts to help you find and choose what to read, and always links to the original. Publishers who want their content handled differently can contact nia@howtofindaparty.xyz.

No guarantees

Byline is provided as is. Feeds change, publishers block readers, and assistants make mistakes, so editions may be incomplete or out of date; verify time-sensitive details such as event dates and deadlines at the source. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Byline.

Ending

You can stop using Byline and delete your account at any time. The operator may change or discontinue Byline, and will give notice where practical.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above will change when they are.
